Premier Health is Southwest Ohio’s only certified member of MD Anderson Cancer Network^®, a program of MD Anderson Cancer Center, the top-ranked cancer center in the United States. MD Anderson is one of the nation’s original comprehensive cancer centers designated by the National Cancer Institute to help pioneer the guidelines that set the standard of cancer care today.

Premier Health cancer specialists who are certified undergo a rigorous process to successfully meet all of the network’s standards. Certified physicians at Premier Health meet the required certification qualifications and show a desire and willingness to go through this process, all with the goal of improving cancer care for our patients.

While not all Premier Health cancer specialists are certified, our priority is to connect your patients with the most appropriate cancer specialist for their type and stage of cancer.

The relationship between Premier Health and MD Anderson Cancer Network means that your patients will have access to nationally recognized cancer care protocols and best practices, allowing Premier Health cancer specialists certified by the network to develop treatment recommendations for your patients to improve the likelihood of positive outcomes.

Your patient’s care team here in Ohio will work closely with you and MD Anderson cancer specialists in Houston to develop a treatment plan that is right for each individual. Your patient’s Premier Health cancer specialist, certified by MD Anderson Cancer Network, has the opportunity to present his or her case and get treatment advice at multidisciplinary treatment conferences, as well as peer-to-peer consultations. And, in rare cases, we will help arrange for your patient to receive a consultation and/or treatment at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
